What is Modern Macabre? Well it's a collection of stories and Illustrations that I have created over the last ten years: My subject matter or theme, will often delve into the mysterious; the metaphysical and phenomenological side of the human psyche, in hopes of stimulating a fresh new brand of Graphic Literature. As a thinking person, I have always gravitated towards the great works of Fiction by writers of the Bohemian sect, such as Junichiro Tanizaki,Franz Kafka and Saki' to name a very few. For such writers have tapped into a basic desire within us all: The desire to explore the unknown; to redeem our love; to unleash our hate and to wrestle with our humanity or lack of it? For we are all put here on this earth to fight a never-ending struggle of Good and Evil! And of conscience and consequence: For such desire is born in our minds; first as a thought then as a dream and soon...as our worst nightmare!!... ....MODERN MACABRE.
